There is no better way to discover one of Europe’s most picturesque cities than by gliding through it in the open air. Ride along the Buda side of the Danube River and admire the Hungarian Parliament building, one of Europe’s oldest legislative buildings and the tallest building in Budapest. From there you will ride up to the famous castle district, the oldest part of Budapest and home to fabulous gothic, medieval and baroque architecture. Cross the Danube take in the treasures of the Pest side of the river, starting with Gresham palace. Marvel at the extravagant Gresham Palace and St Stephan’s Basilica, appreciate the history of Liberty Square and take in the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Continue to whizz down Budapest’s pretty streets heading for Heroe’s Square. Appreciate the design of the Budapest Opera House and the history of the House of Terror, which commemorates the two oppressive regimes in Hungary’s past, Fascism and Communism.
